Venice — you have to go. you won't regret it.

Leave 8am — about 2 hours by car park at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto · €25–30/day · then walk or take vaporetto
San Marco + Rialto Bridge wander · don't rush · the getting-lost IS the thing
Gelato stop approximately 4,000 options available. you cannot pick wrong.
Gondola ride — kids will remember this forever €90 for the whole gondola · up to 5 people · 30 min · after 7pm it's €110 (serenata rate) · split between the family it's a no-brainer
L'Osteria Le Guglie — our seafood pick doesn't look fancy from outside · food and service exceptional · not pricey · near the gondola spot

Morning pool — fully optional pool 9am–6pm · works before the 3pm waterfall visit

Cliff church + Verona

Madonna della Corona — church built into a cliff face 1hr drive from Garda · sanctuary clinging to a vertical rock wall · the kind of place photos don't do justice
Take the shuttle bus from Spiazzi parking grandparent-friendly option · runs from the village car park down to the church · no stairs, no steep path, no knees destroyed
Kids and fitter adults can walk down paved path with stairs and slopes · ~15 min down, ~25 min back up · skip it if anyone's unsure
Dinner in Verona on the way back Romeo & Juliet energy · balcony's touristy but the old town is the real magic · optional
Wander the old town or head straight home if everyone's done, nobody will argue
